Senkoe’s practice explores identity through a contemporary dialogue with pre-Hispanic aesthetics, textiles, and handcrafted traditions. Drawing from pop culture, graphic design, and illustration, he builds a visual language that transcends nationalist boundaries. His compositions tap into color’s symbolic power and the mystical vocabularies of shamanism and nature, yet they remain grounded in the social questions and rapid transformations of today’s world. His murals fuse these influences into a hybrid—chimeric—Mexican identity, inviting the passerby into a lucid, animal-dream realm where history, myth, and the present converse.
Senkoe has exhibited in England, France, the United States, Canada, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, India, Nepal, Indonesia, and Mexico, and has appeared at urban art festivals at both national and international levels. Alongside his studio and public work, he has taught in contexts spanning urban and fine art. He studied pedagogy at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and pursued art training at the Academia de San Carlos in Mexico City. He currently focuses on large-scale painting interventions in the urban fabric as part of interdisciplinary initiatives to revitalize and beautify public spaces.
